Founded in Genova, Italy, in 1861 as the Registro Italiano Navale, the company began as a classification society dedicated to assessing the seaworthiness of merchant ships. 

Over the following century, it expanded beyond its maritime roots into industrial certification, engineering consultancy, and infrastructure inspection, transforming into a private corporate group in the late 1990s. Today, RINA operates globally across sectors ranging from energy and real estate to aerospace and food safety, ranking as the world’s fourth-largest classification society.

Following global design guidelines and working closely with the team in Italy, we created a bright, clean, welcoming, and professional working environment for the new office space in Shanghai. Key features include a custom-designed shelving system for displaying ship models weighing over 100 kg each, a dedicated history wall, and a world map highlighting RINA’s global presence. 

The scope also included the full renovation of the lift lobby and restrooms, with the addition of a shower facility for employees.
